Crossing cultures is joyful. This evening, May 28, 2024, Azerbaijan Consulate General in Los Angeles celebrated 106 years since Azerbaijan’s first independence 1920-1922 with song, dance and authentic food dishes.
Between 1918 to 1920 Azerbaijan gained independence from the Russian Empire which was short-lived. Today, May 28, 2024, Azerbaijan celebrates 106 years to this short lived independence. Azerbaijan next gained its independence in 1991 and it continues today.
